Fockea (Endl.) belongs to the Asclepiadaceae family.  The plants are slow-growing and can develop a large caudex with age.  Long stems develop from the caudex. Stems have green leaves.

Flowers appear on the upper stems of mature Plants.

Plants are distributed in southern Africa.
