Destribution:  Aloe humilis is found at Mosselbay in the west to Uitenhage and Port Elizabeth in the east and northwards to Graaf-Reinet.  They grow on stony flat places and slopes.  Summer and winter rainfall.

Description:  Plants (45 cm in height) are stemless and clumps with offsets.  Leaves are bluish-green, erect or incurved with many small white prickles on both sides of the leaf.

Flowering period:  August and September
Flowers:  Scarlet or orange or yellow.

Cultivation: Light shade to full sun, drought resistant, light frost protection is required, neutral soil.

Propagation:  Seeds and pups.
