Distribution: Found in the Little Karoo from Barrydale to just past Uniondale. |

Description: A highly variable spp. The plants are compact and erect, up to 150 mm in height. The green to greyish-green stems are densely pubescent and not prominently toothed. The acute, pubescent leaves are 5 mm long and usually marcesant. |

Flower: The corolla (110 mm in diameter) is very shiny and variably puberulous. The flower is brown to dark purple in colour. Sepals ciliate. |
