Distribution:  South Africa
Description:  The plant has a small tuber with numerous succulent roots.  Several stems appear from the center of the tuber.  Leaves opposite and elliptic, leaves are smooth.  The stems die back during the dry season.
Flower:  Brownish flowers appear on stalks that develop in the axil.  The lobes are joined at the tips.
